Bilingual Child Month has been celebrated since 2006 to recognise children who know two or sometimes more languages and understand multiple cultures.
This is really important because children who speak two or more languages act as a bridge between multiple cultures, allowing us to learn about and better understand the world around us.
So, ask a bilingual friend to share something new with you. Try a new recipe or learn a new traditional song.
No matter the languages or the culture, sharing and celebrating is encouraged all month long!
