Easter
Easter is celebrated across the world as a time of renewal, reflection, and joy. Yet the ways in which people observe the occasion vary widely, shaped by culture, religion, and history. In the United States and Portugal, Easter takes on distinctly different characters: one more secular and festive, the other deeply rooted in Catholic tradition.
In the United States, Easter is often a blend of Christian observance and springtime celebration.
